  Indian Heliotrope

The Indian Heliotrope, a plant with the botanical name Heliotropium indicum, has a coiling inflorescence of small flower clusters, which is reminiscent of the trunk of an elephant (fig.). Hence, it is in Thai called ya nguong chang, i.e. ‘elephant-trunk weed’. See also List of Thai Botanical Names.
