Mwe Phaya is a Buddhist temple (fig.) at Myitnge near Mandalay which features countless Buddha images with a bhumisparsa mudra while seated on the coiled body of the snake Muchalinda, which is using its head to cover the Buddha against the rain, as well as statues of snakes (fig.).

There are also some unique Buddha images in which the Buddha is depicted with a snake coiled on his head and around his body.
