  Chakri Dynasty  

 

The nine Rama Kings (fig.) of the Chakri Dynasty as portrayed on Thai postage stamps, starting with King Rama I, Phra Phutta Yotfa Chulalok, the founder of the dynasty, through to Rama VIII (fig.), and last of all King Rama IX, Bhumipon Adunyadet, who passed away on 13 October 2016 at the age of 88, and has been the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history, having served for 70 years and 126 days.
