  Common Tailorbird

PREVIOUS BIRD NEXT BIRD Thailand

A Common Tailorbird seen in Chiang Mai province. When calling, this species reveals dark patches on each side of its throat, which otherwise are largely hidden under the white feathers on top of them.

Though small, these birds are easily noticed as they give away their presence by their quick, vivacious, loud and repetitive song in which its throat swells and reveals the dark patches on either side. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
