A perfect hemispherical rainbow over Bangkok, stretching from Bang Kapi to Suwannaphum Airport (fig.). In Thai mythology, the rainbow is called Inthanu, meaning the ‘bow of Indra’, the god of heavens and weather. Since the naga is the protector of the earthly waters, this mythological serpent is in Thai iconography often depicted in all the colours of the rainbow (fig.).
