Jingjok or geckos can defy gravity due to their extraordinarily feet which are covered with microscopically tiny hair-like tubular structures called ‘setae’ and which have cup-like tips or pads.

When walking the ‘setae’ spread out and the pads on their tips create enough intermolecular attraction between the ‘setae’ and the surface to support its weight. This enables them to effortlessly stick to almost any surface, even upside down on ceilings.
