A man in the Den Quan Thanh temple courtyard (fig.) practicing combat-like poses with a spear, in a form of vo thuat (fig.) that uses a Chinese martial arts weapon, which in Chinese is known as qiang.

With tai chi-like moves, he sways his long-handled weapon, frequently freezing in a certain stance and holding the spear still.

The qiang consists of a long wooden handle, with a leaf-shaped metal blade, and red a tassel tied just below it, which was in the past made from horse hair and has the intention to confuse opponents.
