  Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, the largest of all Khmer temples, was built in the early 12th century AD, during the reign of Suryavarman II, and was initially dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and known as Phreah Pisnulok, i.e. the ‘World of Vishnu’, akin to Phitsanulok.
