  King Taksin Statue

The King Taksin Statue at Wong Wian Yai (fig.) in Thonburi, the new capital of Siam after the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767 and prior to it being moved to Rattanakosin in Bangkok. This warrior-king is wearing a Phra Malah Biang combat helmet (fig.) and a taab (fig.), and is wielding a sword.
