 Cause:

To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of the Mahavajiravudh School in Songkhla, which was founded in 1897, initially as an all-male institution, by regional governor Chao Phraya Yommaraat, in order to honour HRH Crown Prince Mahavajiravudh, i.e. the later King Rama VI. Thanks to its strict discipline and high educational standards, this prestigious school has churned out some of the country's leading thinkers, opinion makers and politicians, among the more prominent being Privy Council and statesman General Prem Tinsulanonda, who between 1980 and 1988 also was a Thai Prime Minister (fig.).
