  Asian Brown Flycatcher

A juvenile Asian Brown Flycatcher spotted in a pine tree on an island in Krabi, the pale base of the lower mandible, of its otherwise blackish bill, is clearly visible, as are the whitish orbital rings.

 

This still immature bird of the subspecies Muscicapa dauurica siamensis is browner above than adults and shows whitish fringes on the wing coverts.
