  Kalika

Stone sculpture of Kalika, one of the Eighteen Arahats and nicknamed the Elephant-Riding Lohan. He is depicted sitting on an elephant whilst studying a scroll. The elephant, an animal of immense strength, endurance and perseverance, is most likely an allegory for the power of Buddhism, whereas the scroll represents the sutra. In Vietnamese, he is called Ky Tuong La Han (fig.)
