  panjasila (sihnha)

Nepal

A stele with an epigraph of the Five Precepts for Buddhist laymen, known both in Sanskrit and Pali as Panjasila or Pancha Sila, i.e. Five Conducts, and in Thai as Seen Hah or Sihnha.

 

This stone slab is erected at the entrance of Lumbini Garden (fig.), the birthplace of the Buddha in present Nepal.
