  muak hoo krataai

Thailand

A trumpeter of the Royal Barges wears a traditional brimless navy hat with earflaps, called a muak hoo krataai, which means ‘rabbit-ears hat’. They exist in different colours, i.e. a certain base colour trimmed with another colour, depending on the wearer's position and responsibilities.
