Ling zhi mushrooms are a kind of bracket fungus or shelf fungus, that grows on trees. The Chinese name ling zhi translates as ‘mushroom of immortality’, as they have been used as a herb in Chinese traditional medicine for over 2,000 years to increase longevity and to boost the immune system.
