  krabeuang waw

Thailand

Krabeuang waw is the name given to diamond-shaped roof tiles, used to cover slanting roofs of mostly traditional-style houses. The shape is reminiscent  of that of a kite (fig.), which in Thai is known as waw, hence the name.
