  Japanese clay (artificial flowers)

 

Thailand

Ornamental flowers crafted from din yipun, i.e. Japanese clay. They are usually made by household producers and regularly found in hotel lobbies in Thailand.

 

These globular flowers are known as baan mairoo rohy (fig.) and are typically used in the making of garlands, which in Thai are called puang malai (fig.).
