Thailand

Bronze statue of cranes. In Chinese mythology cranes are regarded as messengers of wisdom and legendary Taoist sages were transported between the heavenly worlds on the backs of cranes.

Their name in Chinese has a homonym that means ‘to combine’ or ‘to unite’ and displayed in small groups, they are thus a symbol of harmony.
