  chok technique

The chok technique is used to make pah chok (fig.). The word chok means ‘to pick’ or ‘to pull’ and refers to the method used to make its typical design (fig.). The weaver seen at work here uses a toothpick to pick and lift the weft yarn, in order to create the pattern.
