  Wetsandorn (giving away the elephant)

Thailand

Wetsandorn gives away a sacred White Elephant to five Brahmans of a neighbouring kingdom. The prince's story is principally about the virtue of giving. He gives away his only carriage (fig.), and eventually even his own children. Painted by Shan people from Tong Yee in Burma.
