Buddhist paintings illustrating important scenes from the life of the Buddha, that reflect the events of Visakha Bucha, which according to tradition all fell on the same day (fig.), throughout his life, i.e.: A. a mural from Wat Angkaew (วัดอ่างแก้ว) in Bangkok's Phasi Chareun (ภาษีเจริญ) district, depicting the Phrasut (birth) of Siddhartha at Lumbini, featuring Maha Maya giving birth while holding the branch of a sala tree, in the presence of Indra, who receives the newborn onto a lotus-shaped phaan (fig.), while an assistant holds a chattra over the child's head; B. a painting by Phraya Thewaphinimit (เทวาภินิมิตร) taken from a book on the life of the Buddha published by S. Thammaphakdi (ส. ธรรมภักดี) and depicting the Enlightenment, showing Siddhartha seated on a lotus underneath a bodhi tree, in the half lotus position (fig.) and performing a bhumisparsa mudra during marapajon or maravijaya; and C. a mural from Wat Kanmatuyaram (วัดกันมาตุยาราม) in Bangkok's Samphan Thawong (สัมพันธวงศ์) district, depicting the Parinippahn (passing away) of the Buddha at Kusinagara in the presence of his disciples.
