  Viman Phra In

Thailand

Viman Phra In is a type of kreuang khwaen that is constructed like a net, with a triangular end at both the top and the bottom, and an open, rectangular, frame-like space or window in the middle. At the top of this open space, there is a bracket-like net formation that looks like a curtain hanging open from its center, and which is decorated with flowers. In this particular one, the curtain-like strings in the window are done in a fashion normally used for the Viman Thaen (fig.), though this one does not have the straight bottom of the Viman Thaen, but the triangular end of the Viman Phra In (fig.).
