A Tatar Grasshopper, spotted in Loei province. It has a long, tapering body, which is overall brownish, with alternating light and dark brown streaks, as well as some pale yellowish markings. Its antennae are pale yellow and it has dark spots spread allover the outer-wings, leading to its nickname Brown-spotted Locust (fig.). It has three pairs of legs, the larger posterior pair with some spines, similar to the Bombay Locust. See also List of Thai Insect Names.
