Siamese Brow-antlered Deer in their orange-red to golden-brown summer coat. In winter their coat is a much darker brown and the white patches are nearly invisible (fig.).

Annually in summer, the stag of this species will grow new antlers, that start off as bony T-shaped stumps on its head, covered with a highly vascular skin, known as velvet.
