In this portrait, both Shiva and Ganesha wear the tri-pundra on their foreheads, the sectarian mark of Shaivism, that consists of three horizontal bars. Both Shiva and Parvati also have a bindi, i.e. a red dot between the eyebrows.

In these giant sculptures of Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha, at the Moonlaniti Mahathep, i.e. the ‘Shiva Foundation’ along Phetkasem Road in the tambon Srisa Thong (ศรีษะทอง), i.e. ‘Golden Head’, in Nakhon Chai Sri District of Nakhon Pathom, they are all holding a trident.
