Phiphithaphan Hohng Luang Saeng Kaew, literally the ‘Principal Palace of the Shining Crystal Museum’, yet in English usually referred to as Saeng Kaew Museum, in the city of Chiang Rai.

 

It is located within the premises —and part of— Wat Phra Kaew, i.e. the ‘Temple of the Jewelled Buddha’, which is usually referred to as the Emerald Buddha (fig.),

It consists of two floors and focuses on the history and development of Wat Phra Kaew, with ample displays of Buddhist as well as Lan Na artifacts.
