  Crestless Fireback Pheasant

A male Crestless Fireback Pheasant or Rufous-tailed Pheasant. It is overall bluish or purplish-black, speckled with fine, silvery grey spots on the mantle, wings and sides of body, scarlet face-wattles, a golden rump and a rufous tail. The legs are bluish-grey, with a strong spur, the bill is pale greenish-white, yet somewhat blackish at the base, whilst the irises are reddish-brown. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
