  Royal Guard

The Chakri Throne Hall (fig.) at the Grand Palace (fig.) is watched over by a honour guard provided by the ceremonial unit of the King's Own Guard, whose former barracks are located within the same compound (fig.). Their uniform consists of a white jacket and white tropical helmet, over black trousers flanked with a red stripe during the reign of King Rama IX (fig.), yet over grey trousers with a fine yellow line on the sides (fig.) in the reign of King Rama X.
