Thailand

Reua Asurapaksi is a large escort barge, with the figurehead of the demon Asurapaksi (fig.), which has a greyish-green complexion. It is used to accompany the true Royal Barges during the Royal Barge Procession. It has a crew of 30 rowers and 2 helmsmen, besides a trumpeter, an officer, etc. The oarsmen wear white trousers, a dark-blue to purplish shirt trimmed with gold, and a black Malabiang-helmet, whilst the oars are silver with a red handle. It sails on the starboard side of the procession, to the opposite side of Reua Asuravayuphak.
