  Puning Temple (Hall of the Bodhisattva)

China

The Hall of the Bodhisattva at the Puning Temple in Chengde, in China's Hebei Province, houses the world's largest wooden statue of Kuan Yin (fig.).

 

It is this temple's main hall. The temple complex (fig.) was built in 1755 AD, during the Qing Dynasty.
