  Moses-in-the-Cradle

Moses-in-the-Cradle, which is also known as Purple-leaved Spiderwort, consists of succulent, up to 25 centimeters long, herbaceous stems, which are green above and purple on the underside, in order to enhance photosynthesis.

 

This attractive plant is often seen in parks and gardens, and in Thai it is known as waan kaab hoy. See also List of Thai Botanical Names.
