Statue of the Phra Thera monk Phra Maha Mangkhala Silawangsa (fig.) holding a bai lahn Buddhist palm leaf manuscript (fig.), with on the wooden cover the Thai kham meuang text Maha Santing Luang, i.e. the northern Thai term for an ancient Buddhist prayer for peace and calm, known in Pali as Uppatasanti, and of which this Buddhist scholar is said to be the author.
