  Long-bodied Bugs (mating)

Thailand

The male Long-bodied Bug (fig.), an insect that is commonly known in Thai as muan mayao, is somewhat larger in size than the female.

When mating, the male partner may keep on walking, dragging the copulated female along on its way, despite the fact that they are facing opposite directions.

The female stays attached throughout the process, even as the male is crawling over obstacles and climbing uphill.
