PREVIOUS MOUSE-DEER NEXT MOUSE-DEER Singapore

A Greater Mouse-deer is a Southeast Asian mammal which is neither a mouse nor a deer. It differs from a Lesser Mouse-deer (fig.) by the dark shades around the nose, eyes and ears, as well as some other, less noticeable features.

It has the size of a small dog, with fairly thin legs, that look somewhat out of proportion with the size of its body. Notice also the enlarged upper canine of this male. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
