Depiction of the Four Harmonious Friends on the outer wall of a Tibetan temple of Lamaism near Pokhara. It portrays the animals supporting one another, with the eldest on top and the youngest below (fig.), thus symbolizing a peaceful, harmonious society that respects its elders. It is the Tibetan symbol for peace and harmony (fig.).
