An Oriental Dollarbird or simply Dollarbird, spotted near the historical site of Prasat Phanom Rung in Buriram.

 

 

Adults are dark greenish-brown above and dark bluish-purple to turquoise below, with a darker breast, as well as faint light blue streaks on the throat.  In addition, the subspecies Eurystomus orientalis abundus has a blacker crown, nape and head-sides.

The bill is thick and reddish-orange, while the legs and feet are grayish-pink to red. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
