  Chinese water calligraphy

China

Calligraphy is sometimes referred to as the Soul of Chinese Fine Arts and enthusiasts can sometimes be observed in public piazzas and parks writing on the floor in water, using a large writing brush.

Skilled calligraphers practicing this less permanent form of Chinese calligraphy include both the very young and the old, and are both admired and avoided by the casual passer-by.
