During Chinese New Year, acrobats regularly display their skills on top of a high pole, often dressed in a lion or dragon costume.

 

Performers climb seemingly effortlessly to the top using nothing but their own strength, though sometimes a human tower may be made, standing on each others shoulders.

Many of the stunts they perform are not without danger, all to impress the crowd down below.
