  Chinese cabbage

Thailand

In Chinese, cabbages are called bai cai, which means ‘white vegetable’, but which is also a homonym of two other characters meaning ‘numerous wealth’. For this reason, Chinese cabbage are regarded symbols of wealth, and are commonly found as good luck charms.
