  Gate of Hell

The Gate of Hell, known in Chinese as Gui Men Guan, i.e. ‘Ghost Gate Mountain Pass’, is the gate that leads to Diyu (fig.), i.e. the Hell in Chinese mythology.

 

It is said to be guarded by a group of evil ghosts and in the picture above also Ti Tsang (fig.), i.e. the Chinese bodhisattva of hell beings, is present.
