Portrait of King Rama V, the father of Prince Siriraj Kakuthaphan (fig.), who died as a child and after whom the Siriraj Hospital was consequently renamed. In the right background is the Sayamin (สยามินทร์) Building, located on the compound of the Siriraj Hospital (fig.), and in the left side of the backdrop is the Prha Mehn of Phra Meru (fig.) on Sanam Luang (fig.), i.e. the temporary crematorium, where the Prince was cremated.
