  Black-eared Kite

The Black-eared Kite is a subspecies of the Black Kite. This one was seen soaring amidst the limestone karst formations of Guilin in southern China's Guangxi Province.

 

It is distinct from the nominate race by a whiter face and throat, and more whitish on the underside of the primaries.
