Portrait of Qin Shubao, a Chinese general who during the Tang Dynasty became a Chinese door god, depicted on a temple gate in Penang, Malaysia. Among their weaponry, Chinese warriors often carried a bow, which hung from their belt in a special sheath.

This bow is placed in a sheath adorned with some rabbits, perhaps referring to the year of the rabbit, or indicating that its foremost usage was for hunting.
