 Subject: Statue of Mae Phra Thoranee, i.e. the goddess of the earth, who is typically portrayed wringing water from her hair (fig.) and who is the main figure depicted on the logo of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. In the right background is the former Metropolitan Waterworks Authority headquarters at the Maen Sri Intersection (fig.), formerly known as the Bangkok Waterworks Authority, while in the left background is the present headquarters of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. As the main background in blue, the colour naturally used for water, are the water clarifiers (fig.) of the Bangkhen Water Treatment Plant (fig.), while in the left bottom corner is the logo of the 100th Anniversary of Thailand Waterworks, made up of the Thai number 100 (๑๐๐), that is stylized as waves of water, with the first zero of the number 100 inside a drop of water. In the original, larger version of the logo, the first zero also contains the circular logo of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (fig.), depicting Mae Phra Thoranee.
